About JADS MKB Datalab

JADS MKB Datalab exists to make Data Science & AI accessible to every company. Our mission is to lower the barrier to getting started (or scaling up) with data and AI by translating ambitious ideas into practical, realistic solutions that fit an organisation’s context. As part of the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS) ecosystem, we bridge academic expertise and real business needs - keeping things hands-on, realistic, and focused on measurable value.

At the same time, JADS MKB Datalab exists to accelerate the professional development of students. We believe students should be able to gain meaningful, real-world experience alongside their studies. Through client projects, students learn how data work really happens outside the classroom: dealing with messy datasets, unclear business questions, stakeholder expectations, and the need to deliver something that works - and can be explained.

We work with a combination of student consultants and full-time project managers with strong data/AI backgrounds. That mix gives clients both technical execution power and professional structure: clear scoping, frequent check-ins, and deliverables that can actually be implemented. Our team is closely connected to the student community on the JADS campus in ’s-Hertogenbosch, which makes collaboration approachable and supervision easy to access.

Over the years, the Datalab has delivered 420+ projects and supported 170+ students in building real-world experience through client work - helping organisations take concrete next steps with data, analytics, and AI.
